Hi, I’m Jenna Jury
Hi! Welcome to the Peaceful Nest. I am Jenna, a mom of two little girls and a little boy who are forever keeping me on my toes. I am also a mom to a little boy in heaven.
I am a freelance writer, blogger and advocate for creating a peaceful home life and helping others learn to live peacefully after tragedy. Aside from running the Peaceful Nest Blog, I home school my littles and work from home!
So I guess you could say I am a go-getter who is constantly looking for great opportunities.
I love reading and writing but not as much as I love coffee. I survive on caffeine. Seriously, if I was stranded on a desert island and could only take one thing, it would be a lifetime supply of coffee.
I could use that coffee to fuel me while I came up with an action plan to get off the island. (Gotta think outside of the box right? Best way to do that is fueled with caffeine and determination.)
I love to create, craft and journal. The most important thing to me is my family. I live a calm and peaceful life and I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Our story
In 2011 our son David passed away at 6 days old. For several years I went through anxiety and depression, something I didn’t share with many people. This anxiety ruled my world. Our daughters were born during this time. I didn’t want my anxiety to rule my parenting. I desired to create a peaceful home life for my children. I knew I needed to give my anxiety to the Lord and also seek help where I needed it.
Little by little I discovered ways I could create a peaceful home life for my husband, children and myself. Some tips I gathered from other people, many were passed down to me from relatives. My desire to create a peaceful home life for our children and my love of writing drove me to create the Peaceful Nest Blog. I wanted a place I could hold myself accountable, while also sharing tips with other moms like me. Now we are here and the rest is history 🙂
