Fishy Fish Craft Your Kid Will Love!
Right now I am wishing I was at the beach.
This fishy fish craft makes me feel a little better! Now I can pretend I’m somewhat close to the water.
This paper plate craft is a perfect addition to an ocean unit study, fish study or even learning about colors! You could create a rainbow fish or several small fish that have different colors on them. The possibilities really are endless! I was inspired to do this craft by this post over at I Heart Art N Crafts.

To create this fun craft you will need these materials:
- paper plate
- white card stock or paper
- paint
- white glue
- scissors
- googly eye
First you will need to cut the mouth out of the paper plate. Cut fins from the white card stock, paper or extra paper plates. (We used thick paper.)
Paint the fish!! Have fun with this! I decided to go with blue because I think this color blue is so pretty. but any color will work. Don’t forget to paint the fins!
Let your fish dry, then glue the googly eye on.
My fish definitely looks more surprised than I intended. But hey, maybe he just realized the worm on the hook is actually bait, who knows!
What is your favorite craft to make with your kids? What are their favorite crafts to make? I would love to know so I can tailor my crafts 🙂
Did you make this craft? I want to see it!
