Five Easy Sensory Bins Your Kiddo Will Love.

If you’re a mom of a small child, chances are you know what easy sensory bins are. Or in the very least, you have heard the phrase muttered a time or two.

As a mom of three very creative kids, I LOVE easy sensory bins, for several reasons.

One, they are extremely easy to make. Buy a bin and throw a few sensory items and toys in.

Two, sensory bins can absolutely be cheap. I actually created most of the sensory bins pictured below with items from the DOLLAR TREE. I love the Dollar Tree for finding all kinds of cheap and fun items to use in our home school or just home in general.

Three, kids love them. They receive a ton of sensory input (a huge plus!) The bins also set them up for using their imagination and stretching their creative muscles. My girls can spend HOURS playing in sensory bins.

Here are 5 sensory bins that are crazy cheap and easy you can create in a couple of minutes for hours of fun!

1. Colorful Beads and Beans

My girls wanted to mix the beans and the colorful beads. I thought it made a pretty and contrasting bin.

2. Feathers and Foam Beads

I bought the feathers and the foam beads from the Dollar Tree. I orginally thought about making separate bins for each, but both girls thought it would be fun to mix the two. They both have an interesting feel to them, so the mixture turned out pretty fun!

3. Water Beads

We have a stock pile of Orbeez Beads. You can order them from Amazon here. They are cheap and a fun sensory item that kids really enjoy.

4. Colorful Rice

This sensory bin is so fun to make! If you don’t know how to dye rice, get the instructions here.

5. Multiple Beans

Use two or three different tips of beans to create this sensory bin. Add a few toys and see what type of story your child can imagine up!

I was able to get all five bins and all the other items from the Dollar Tree. This included the insect toys, shapes and pincher tools. The only items I did not get from the Dollar Tree were the water beads. I bought them from Amazon here.

Enjoy putting together these fun sensory bins! Let me know below if you do, or if you have another one your child absolutely loves!
