Logic Games Kids LOVE!

Please Share With Your Friends!

Are you looking for logic games kids love? This year, we decided to opt for a box curriculum. I knew as a busy mom of four, it was the best course of action. I have been eyeing Timberdoodle for quite some time. However, the price always kept me away. This year, we invested a little more into the curriculum choices, which is one reason we decided to take the plunge. Now, when looking at the elite curriculum choices for Timberdoodle, it can feel overwhelming. Yet, my kids are loving their homeschool year immensely with these resources. A semester in, I decided to give our reviews on the resources we received, what we loved, didn’t like, and chose not to use. So, be sure to stay tuned for all the fun reviews, and also follow me at Creative Homeschoolers on Instagram to stay updated.

One of the top favorites among my kids is the games that came with the kits. Logic games, in particular, are among their top choices. One reason I love these is because they can be played alone. The kids can grab one to work on while I am working with another child. It’s a win-win! If you are looking for some great logic games to add to your homeschool, or if you don’t homeschool but still want these games, give these awesome games a shot!

Smart Cookies

Smart Cookies is part of the Brain Builder series and is a fun individual game that kids can play for a short amount or extended time. The game includes a book of puzzles that build upon each one. Each puzzle gets increasingly more complex as your child advances. This game allows children to work on their logic and critical thinking skills, but it is easy enough to understand starting out.

Walk the Dog

Part of the Smart Games series, Walk the Dog, is geared for ages seven and up. This game also comes with a puzzle book, which gets increasingly challenging as your child advances. The content includes owners, dogs, cats, leashes, and a tree. The game’s concept is to keep the dog away from the cats as your child solves each puzzle.

Cats and Boxes

Another Smart Games game, Cats and Boxes, is excellent for children seven and up. The puzzles will have your child thinking critically and sharpening their logic skills. There are 60 challenges in the book for your child to solve. Before you know it, their problem-solving skills will be top-notch!

The concept of Cats and Boxes is to put each cat in a box with each increasing puzzle.

Dinosaurs: Mystic Islands

Another Smart Games series favorite, Dinosaurs: Mystic Island, is perfect for children ages six and up. The concept is to keep the two types of dinosaurs, the T-Rex and the plant eaters, away from one another! This is another wonderful game that involves working on logic, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Genius Star

Genius Star can be played individually and against a partner. The puzzle involves rolling the dice, placing the star triangles on the numbers, and then figuring out exactly where the colored pieces fit! Even adults (ahem, me) love this game. It just may have you wanting to play it again and again!
