It can be tricky to develop ideas for a kid-friendly Mother’s Day celebration

Mother’s Day is a special day to celebrate all of the amazing mothers out there.

It can be tricky to develop ideas for a kid-friendly Mother’s Day celebration but don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! This blog post will share some fun and easy Mother’s Day ideas that your kids will love. From crafts to recipes to games, we have something for everyone! So get ready to spoil mom rotten on her special day, even if you have children!

Before we get to the fantastic activities, let’s talk about why mom should be celebrated!

Are you looking for ways to become a peaceful mom but you aren’t sure how?

I created a free planner for moms like me, who want to create a peaceful home but let the stress of never having it all together defeat them, because who really ever has it together? The best we can do is plan for peace and roll with the punches, right? If you want your free planner you can get it below!

Mother’s Day is a great time to show your love and appreciation for everything she does throughout the year.

But, Mother’s Day is about more than just buying gifts or cards – it’s also an opportunity for you and your kids to spend quality time together as a family and for kids to recognize everything their mothers do for them every year.

Moms deserve recognition because they often put their families first.

They do a million things every day, and sometimes it can be hard to keep track of everything! Moms are multitaskers and always seem to know what to do in any situation. They usually put their children’s needs before their own, which is why Mother’s Day is so important – it’s a time for kids to show mom how much they appreciate her selflessness.

Now that we’ve talked about why Mother’s Day should be celebrated, let’s move on to the fun stuff!

Below, you will find three games, three crafts, three treats, and three ways to celebrate Mother’s Day with small children. We hope you enjoy these ideas!

Three ways to celebrate Mother’s Day with small children:

Mother’s Day is a great time to spend quality time with your kids. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate this day with small children, try one of these ideas:

Make cards together that tell mom how much they love her!

You can use construction paper, markers, glue sticks, scissors. The possibilities are endless!

Read Mother’s Day books together before bed or while eating breakfast in the morning!

There are so many Mother’s Day books out there – like My Mommy Hung the Moon by Jamie Lee Curtis (who also wrote Freaky Friday!).

Watch Mother themed movies together!

Mother’s Day is a great time to snuggle up on the couch and watch movies that celebrate mothers.

Three games:

-Mother’s Day is not only about celebrating our mothers but also having fun with them. To celebrate this special holiday, try one of these games that will bring you closer together as a family!

Mothers day bingo.

Mother’s Day bingo is a great game to play with the whole family! All you need are some themed cards and a bingo dapper. (or marker!)

Mother’s Day Word Search is another fun activity that the whole family can enjoy. You can find Mother’s day themed word searches online or make your own!

Gift scavenger hunt.

A gift scavenger hunt is a great way to get the kids involved in Mother’s Day celebrations. Hide gifts around the house for mom and write clues that lead her to them. This activity is sure to keep everyone entertained!

Three crafts:

One of our favorite ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is by making crafts together as a family! Not only are they fun, but they often turn out cute too. Here are three easy crafts that kids of all ages can help with:

Mother’s Day bookmarks

Handmade cards

Fun candle holders.

Three treats:

Mother’s day is a great time to celebrate all of the things Mom has done for you! One way that kids can show their appreciation is by making her favorite treat as a surprise in the morning – here are three recipes that will bring smiles to everyone in your family:

Fun cakes for mom

Mother’s day cookies

Chocolate-dipped strawberries with sprinkles (we recommend using edible glitter, too!).

As you can see, there are plenty of ways for children to celebrate Mother’s Day this year! Whether from crafts and games like “bingo” or “word search” or Mother’s Day treats, there is something here for every child to enjoy with their mothers.
