5 Ways to Make Valentine’s Day Special With Your Kids

Valentine’s Day is a time to celebrate the one you love. So why not use this Day to celebrate your kids? Valentine’s Day can be a perfect time for you and your kids because it gives you the chance to spend some special time together. Here are five ideas of things you can do with your children on Valentine’s Day:

Give Valentine Cards

You don’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day comes around to give Valentine cards! Your child will be excited when they get a Valentine in the mail, and they’ll enjoy making Valentine cards for other people in their lives (like mom and dad).

Make Valentine’s Day Gifts

One Valentine gift idea is to create a Valentine jar. On Valentine’s Day, your children can stick with the Valentine theme by making jars full of candy and snacks for everyone in their life, so they have something delicious to give out on this special day. They can even decorate the Valentine jar if they’d like! Another gift idea you might try is writing poems or love notes for family about why you’re thankful they are part of your family.

Are you looking for ways to become a peaceful mom but you aren’t sure how?

I created a free planner for moms like me, who want to create a peaceful home but let the stress of never having it all together defeat them, because who really ever has it together? The best we can do is plan for peace and roll with the punches, right? If you want your free planner you can get it below!

Have Craft Time

On Valentine’s Day, allow extra time after lunch or dinner for craft time. Kids enjoy any craft, but specifically those that watch them make something to give as a gift or treat during Valentine’s Day. Here are my favorite Valentine crafts to make with kids.

Bake Valentine Cookies

Baking Valentine cookies (or any baked good) is always a fun experience for kids. But, you can make it an extra special Valentine’s Day activity by inviting friends and family members over to taste the tasty treats you create! Kids will get excited about eating these homemade Valentine desserts because they get to share them with their loved ones.

5) Play Valentine Games

Valentine’s games are a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and help your kids develop critical thinking and reasoning skills. But, if you’re not sure what Valentine games would be best for your child, here are some Valentine Game Ideas With Your Kids.

The key to Valentine’s Day with your children is having fun!

Make the holiday about spending quality time together as a family and doing things that work well with everyone in your household. Use this Day as an opportunity to enjoy one another and create lasting memories. Happy Valentine’s Day!
