Are you looking for ways to become a peaceful mom but you aren’t sure how?
I created a free planner for moms like me, who want to create a peaceful home but let the stress of never having it all together defeat them, because who really ever has it together? The best we can do is plan for peace and roll with the punches, right? If you want your free planner you can get it below!
If you have little ones at home, it might be a fun idea to make a little pot of gold for them for St. Patrick’s Day.
Fill some plastic pots (that can fit inside each other) half full of sand and add candy such as chocolate coins and colorful gumdrops. Next, add another layer of sand. Finally, place a little pot of gold at the top, which is simply some gold foil. The children can decorate this with markers or paint if they are old enough. It’s always fun for kids to find candy hidden around the house on St Patrick’s day!
Make fun St. Patrick’s Day-themed snacks!
These could include green pancakes, shamrock salad, and even fun leprechaun traps! If you have older kids who would enjoy food dyeing or baking, making foods together is excellent fun on St. Patrick’s day.
You could set up fun St. Patricks Day games.
Including Irish basketball, finding gold at the end of a rainbow, or even putting together puzzles with pieces shaped like shamrocks! One game that might be fun for kids to play is “pin the pot of gold on the leprechaun.” The game doesn’t need much explanation, and it’s sure to be fun for everyone involved.
You can make fun St. Patricks Day crafts.
Some fun crafts include making green slime, painting rainbow pictures, and using fun shamrock stencils. You could also make a fun leprechaun trap craft. Read how here.
Another enjoyable St. Patrick’s day activity is to write some catchy poems and fun songs to go along with the holiday.
You could even re-write “Here Comes Peter Cottontail” and add a leprechaun twist! So get creative and have fun creating new songs and poems together.
Read a St. Patrick’s Daybook together as a family!
You can make a fun book with your kids, use materials such as green paper and paints, and write a story about a Leprechaun together. Or you could read some St. Patricks Day books that are out there. You can find funny stories about leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows, and shamrocks. Try your local library for an avoidable option!
