Fall is my favorite season!
I love coming up with new family traditions, but especially fall activities I can do in the Fall.
We always go to the pumpkin patch, visit the festival in our town and watch Halloween movies. But this year I want to try different activities as well!
Why Fall is a great season.
- Cooler Weather
The bugs are dying off. The cooler weather means you can cuddle up in a sweater or a fuzzy blanket. We get to turn our fireplace back on too!
- Fun decorations
I don’t decorate for every season, but Autumn is the one season I go all out for. I may even have more fall decorations than Christmas.
- New Family traditions
That’s where this list comes in! Start a new family Fall tradition this year.
- Holidays are right around the corner
I think the one reason I love Fall so much is that the Holidays are right around the corner. No, I don’t like cold weather, but the Holidays really put me in a cheery mood and remind me of all we have to be thankful for.
Why you should try new activities this Fall.
Trying a new activity with your family can encourage family bonding, make new memories, and give your children experiences they may hold on to all their lives.

Why are traditions important as a family?
Family is so important. Time truly is short. What is the old saying “the days are long but the years are short?” Nothing is truer as a parent.
It is important to start traditions as a family to give a sense of belonging to our children. Having a tradition they participate in with their family can give us all a sense of something bigger than ourselves, and that’s community and family.
What are more traditions I can start as a family?
- Pizza/movie night
- Game night
- Date nights with kids
